There is a cliff that drops off just north of downtown Salt Lake City. The mountains dwarf the buildings downtown.

Sieder
Sieder is a German name which was a trade in the Middle Ages where people boiled things to get substances from the mixture. Salzsieders boiled things in water to get salt out of them. Salt was extremely important in those days as a preservative in smoking and curing meats as there was no refrigeration. Seifensieders are still a trade today - soap makers.
